					<description>Trying on someone else's shoes is a metaphor for understanding things on their terms (hence the saying not to judge someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes). Therefore, trying on the shoes of a saint is to look at the world through his or her eyes, to try and see things in a different light than you may be used to.</description>
